This client approached us with a need to create a new website for the online version of their successful magazine.
The existing website was hard to manage and not flexible enough to cope with the information architecture they required with content being organised my multiple categories and taxonomies.
We worked with the client to develop a more flexible information architecture which allowed for content to sit in multiple categories and content 'silos' to then be displayed in different sections on the website as required.
The categorisation and tagging of content also allowed for content to be related to each other and displayed within the site to encourage greater time on site.
The site was then custom designed to fit the business goals around content publishing and discovery. Search engine optimisation and discoverability was an important factor in the design and architecture of the site.
The website features a fully custom developed theme, focusing on speed and performance as well as usability.
This was a large and complex project requiring careful consideration at each stage but the end result was a well designed and functioning website that met the client requirements.
